“Night for culture and friendship” was the title of the final event that was organized within the project “The living cultural heritage of two nations on one scene”.
The event was held on 5th of September, 2023, on the open scene (Amphitheatre in Strumica) with participation of more than hundred (100) people from the cross-border area of Strumica, North Macedonia and Mikrevo, Bulgaria.
Three (3) promotional films were projected during the event. The films were elaborated and produced within the 12-month period of project implementation on the topic “The living cultural heritage of two nations”. Three significant segments were included in the promotional films: “Strumica Carnival”, “Festival of Municipality of Strumyani” and “Festival of Municipality of Konce”.
The aim of the films was to present the importance of preserving and promoting the intangible cultural heritage as a significant and characteristic mark of each place, city, region.
The folklore group “Folklorna niza” from Strumica, North Macedonia and the group “Maleshevtsi” had their performances at the event, which in a way announced the end of a successfully implemented project and announced the future cooperation between the two folklore groups from the targeted cross-border region.
The event ended with joined folklore dances among all participants at the event.
